We are proud to announce the move to Union County Dragway! The facility is just what the show needed. The track is very well prepped, the landscape is flat and the restrooms have hot showers. We are very excited about the 2013 show.

Due to the move to the new location, there were a few track rule changes.

It was a good show when it was in Shelby NC ...
I Will make sure to have a 32 Ford ( 3W coupe or the ROADSTER :D ) there.

  4. Woo Hoo - Now that's a good one to look forward too. You say no lights - Is there anyway we can still get time slips? I've got her on the list. Going to be a busy year.

  5. BTW,,that's a cool photo of Tom (coupe) & Henry (roadster),,which one own this time? HRP

  6. cool looks like fun. i will put it on the calendar. lets all hope for a warm spring. lots of history at this track.

Make sure the bathrooms can handle the expected crowd. Had a blast last year and can't wait to go back.

  8. You're going the wrong way, Curtis! :D

I'll pencil it in, but I think it's a little further away that '12!

Tudor, Without the christmas tree/staging lights there will not be a way to get timing slips.

motoandy, That is one of the many reasons for moving to Union County. The facility is much better and will be able to handle the large crowd.

Brett, Just a lttle further drive for you folks driving south but the track is well worth the extra few minutes on the road.

Will try to make it up with the rest of the Sock Fuckers, but the roadster won't be there for reasons beyond my control (health wise).

  21. Looking forward to this, even though it will be a 25 mile drive as opposed to 5 when it was in Shelby. It will be worth the trip.

New this year will be a 50s style pin up contest! This will be held in conjunction with the awards on Saturday afternoon.

It is obvious that with all the people that camped Friday and Saturday night last year that this is becoming a large part of the event. The campfires, bench racing, Bsing, late night eating and guitar picking is loads of fun! Look for the Geargoyles encampment this year. On Saturday night after the last band plays, we will have a little shindig going on at our campsite. Come join us!:D
