  2. I work with a guy who has a complete (small journal) engine and two numbers correct large journal DZ302 cranks. He is looking for a numbers correct block for his Z-28 Camaro. And no, he won't part with any of the pieces.

I have a large journal 3.25" stroke crank, it is in a '69 307 block presently.

I don't but I've seen a few. I always keep my eye open for one since I have Hilde VC's on my 265.

Yea I just picked that one up. I think I'm going to have to settle for the repro Vc's till I find a set unless you want to sell yours?

  5. Well, it's maybe not that rare, but a neat find never the less. I picked up this cast iron GM manifold as a freebie. A little homework revealed it's a somewhat rare 300HP manifold that came on '62-'63 Corvettes. After media blasting the crud off it and replacing the heat riser baffle, it cleaned up pretty nicely. I plan to use it on a 1966 283 with an Edlebrock carb and Sanderson headers I've had sitting in the garage.

Well I can't now that I just sold the Weiand Block letter VC's I found a few months ago. I really think it's easier if you just sell me the block off plate :D:D:D:D:D

Someone posted on another thread that Egge sells .125" oversize pistons for the 283...
They probably cast flat top pistons...

I'm not sure of the rarity or how good its going work but I have an Offenhauser Dual Port Intake on mine, I had never seen the split ports before. If anyone has run one before, I'd love to know how it worked for you.

Pete Jackson Fuel injector, I found this to replace the original one my dad raced on his dragster when I was young. We had sold his about 18-20 years ago at a swap meet ,when you couldn't give something like this away. At that time it'd been sitting on the shelf since the 70s. I always regretted it but wasn't up to me.

I found this one about 6-8 months ago,had to have it ,I would probably build car around something this gorgeous.

The valve covers in the pics where the last ones my father used....I found them buried in the storage building. You can still read the engraving in the square..."Frog Eyes" wich was the name of the D/G Anglia he raced right before the Fed.....They are nothing special...except to me.

I believe 283 cranks had a fully circular mounting flange for the flywheel and genuine small journal 302 cranks had one notch, making them recognisable form the 283 crank.

I have a large journal forged 327. Use a 307 truck crank and a 350 block. 3.25 stroke and 3.5 bore. Also have a full set of O rods and forged pistons.

Not too old but I don't see these very often. I bought them about 5 years ago from flyritechoppers.com. I now have them fully polished and saving them for a high-revving SBC I plan on putting in my coupe.

NOS Weiand blower intake manifold. No rear oil filler hole, but the boss is there if you want to mill it out. Part number 7136.

I have one pictured in this thread with a rear filler hole. Post #293.

Just sold one at the Jefferson WI swap meet this weekend. Mine wasn't NOS but was in very good shape.

Here is an older vintage C26 Edelbrock 2x4 intake manifold. There is basically no difference between the old ones and the new ones. The old ones do not have a 4 digit part number on the bottom and only have the C26 number on the top.

Wedge Engineering blow proof bell housing. This is an early one before Mickey Thompson bought them out and started putting M/T on them.

Has anyone ever done a comparison test of early Chevy distributors? I'm trying to find more information on what distributor was best.. I know it depends on what the engine is being used for (drag, street, racing, etc) but in terms of performance, what distributor is considered the best for 1959?

I have never done a test , but, I think the 891 dual point would be about the best in 59.

All I have is these Fenton staggered bolt valve covers. I found them at a local swap meet 2 years ago for $40.00 :)
