That's cool! That club you mentioned is the T-TIMERS of Glendale. My Dad was in that club briefly, after moving to Glendale around '60 or '61. Then he and my Mom met, had kids...no more club.

Before that, he was in the CAMSHAFTERS while growing up in Beaumont, CA (San Bernardino County).

While in the T-TIMERS, he had a custom blue '57 Pontiac. Then he bought a new burgundy '61 Pontiac.

I agree about it being a great photo. The only club plaque I have on our site is the one for the Road Rumblers .....

Another club mentioned in the article had this plaque .....

Take a look at how many clubs were in the "Valley" and I'm sure there were more than the photos we have on this page .....

FYI: Beaumont is in Riverside County but back then it was all BFE regardless of which county. Thanks for the great post.

Yep that's his plaque. My Dad (Sanfordsotherson is my brother) said when they were having their plaques made, the guy at the foundry asked for a quick sketch so he could work up the pattern. So, my Dad did a quick sketch, but the guy used the actual sketch of the cam for the pattern. My Dad said he always got teased about the cam not having enough lobes...

Bad Bob: "That's so cool Donny and johnny...There wouldn't happen to be any pic's from back then is there?"

I have a few old photos of my Dad's '33 coupe he drove to high school, with a "new" '55 Olds in it. I have to dig those up.

My Mom gave me a picture a few weeks ago that she found. She didn't know what it was, so she almost threw it away. It's a picture of the blown up Olds clutch and pressure plate. I knew exactly what it was when I saw it, and just cracked up. My Grandpa had told us years ago that my Dad was always blowing up clutches and rear ends in that car. Now I have photographic proof.

I took it to Kinko's the other day and made a few enlarged photos of it. I'll mat & frame it, and it will hang in a prominent place in my living room.

Can you tell I'm single? Haha!

I recognize the 'T-Timers' and the 'Chancellors' but not any of the others.

Funny how the article refers to..."members of the various existing car gangs...
