Let me know man. You can try one before you drop the $130 or whatever they cost nowadays, and see if you think they're worth it. I'm thinking I'm going to give that bike to my nephews for a project. That means I won't need it for a little while. The other 2 will keep me plenty busy until I head home.
wanna ear a sad story, i just found a all original honda mini trail 50 in the weeds when i was bush hoging. the lady would not part with it under no circumstances. said it had been there for 20+yrs and her daddy bought it for her. I said please put it back in your shead........
not so much vintage but a mini bike none the less.... 09 dirt bug with a PA 6.5hp. governer removed, 18lb valve springs, header, jetted carb, uni filter. THIS THING IS A BLAST!!!
I totally appreciate it but I've gotts to pass. I'm still dealing with occasional dizziness from my header a few weeks back. I'm not going to tempt fate....for a while.
Hi- Just picked up an Arctic Cat Climber mini-bike. Anybody have a source for parts? I need a gas tan&, head light. Thanks, Bill
bought my first mini bike last summer its a 1969 -70 se woods now im hooked i will be looking for more vintage bikes to collect
I just scored 2 1970 honda trail 70s, both run but need restoring... I will take car of that this winter............ I cant wait till summer.
I saved another one from the scrap pile yesterday. Took me forever to figure out what the heck it was. Appears to be an old Bird Nighthawk.
A few of my 1971 Honda QA50 at Bonneville last August. I think a motor swap might be in order before the next Speed Week. The 50cc with a two speed may have been fine for a 40 pound kid, but once you set a grown man on it it is a little gutless. Maybe a Honda 70 with a 3 or 4 speed. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/91437169@N07/8301527763/" title="IMG_4957 by Bryant Speed, on Flickr"></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/91437169@N07/8302565828/" title="IMG_4961copy by Bryant Speed, on Flickr"></a> The Crew and mini bike trailer <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/91437169@N07/8301537063/" title="IMG_4964 by Bryant Speed, on Flickr"></a>
And the tow rig in need of a dropped axle. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/91437169@N07/8301584603/" title="IMG_4700 by Bryant Speed, on Flickr"></a>
Look into the aftermarket engines. There are some bolt in engines over 100cc with a clutch for what I would consider a reasonable cost.
Hey guys what is an average size gas tank for one of these mini bikes? a half gallon, a gallon? Thanks in advance
I have a chance to pick up a couple of mini bike frames that were used on a carnival ride. Any idea who may have manufactured them? Probably 60-70s stuff. I haven't had a chance to look at them yet. Looking to put something together for my grandson. Thanks, Dennis
I realize how many different makes there were, I was hoping that one or two manufactures made them for the carnival rides. D
Thanks Landseaandair. I was looking at getting one of these from Coyote-Gear in Tucson. I just wanted to makes sure it was big enough.
