Right. I don't cut anybody any slack after a screwing. The Eelco name deserves better. The guy's a flake. It's been going on for some time now. Good luck.

Maybe Marty got word on it and threatened to "rough up" Jason.

Man, I LOVE his stuff for the Nailhead and was going to order a new set of what he has to offer for the 401 real soon.
    I guess not.
    Bugger.

So, who else does some nice parts like the valley cover, rocker and plug covers for the 401? (To match an Edelbrock B262 intake).

    Doc.

Marty did this to me too. There is a history of his bad dealings. Sorry you got caught up in it. There must be 10 threads on here about this subject!

the MILR stuff is real pretty, http://buicknailheadspecialties.com/

Russ Martin carries it as well as being able to get it direct...

  6. Doc,

People seem to have better luck with going through an Eelco dealer, rather than buying direct. He evidently is faster at keeping up with dealer orders.

This is the way to go. Then the dealer takes the risk and you don't pay until you get your stuff.

I have a little Marty story while we're all gathered here. I bought a nailhead to 4 speed kit (bellhousing, flywheel, pilot). Without going into all the nitty gritty, I eventually got it all after about 12 months. The ring gear was pressed onto the wrong side of the flywheel. So rather than wait another 12 months and pay a heap in shipping I swapped it over myself.

This year I have destroyed 2 starters. How confident do you think I am that the Eelco flywheel is right? A new one from Bendtsens is on the way.

  10. I can't believe this is still going.

Someone start a 'beaner bashing thread and give this one a rest.

BTW Z-man those are pretty rocker covers, didn't know that new stuff like that existed. Maybe someone should start a nail head parts source thread and leave the 'beaner bashing for later. ;)

Wait a minute 'beaner! isn't that what it's all about here? Pick a victim and beat him into the ground, while everyone piles on for too many pages? :)

I know it takes a little while, but why don't people contact the better business bureau. Things seem to take care of themselves after that.

I ordered a eelco fuel block and some brass rochester fuel inlet fittings about a month ago from Marty on ebay, I had almost wrote it off as a good Fu*kin but finally did get the parts last weekend.

You call that defending? When I'm really behind someone you'll know it. I'd call what I said an opinion.

Exactly...I can't believe people are still surprised with what they find out!

The search tool on here is a wondeful thing!!

  24. Only if you use it before blowing a stack of cash
    with Marty/Eelco/Stockton/NorthWestSpeed/etc.

It sucks that anyone would get taken advantage of,
but you have to do your own research first.

  26. Because you didn't search first.

It sucks that you got ripped off, but it was preventable.

  28. This crap has been going on for years. Marty Lackner is not trustworthy. He has proven this time and time again. He sells on Ebay to unsuspecting buyers and then gives them the shaft depending on who he owes at the time. The guy just never learns. He robs Peter to pay Paul.
I 'll post it here in big block letters.
DO NOT BUY FROM EELCO!!!!!!!!! PERIOD!!!!!!
