Here's what the shortest day of the year looks like in Fairbanks,Alaska. We're looking down into the city from the fourth floor. The fog at ground level is not very nice to drive in.If you were to look straight up,you would see blue sky.Otherwise it is dreary gray and COLD.

I drove my wifes 2005 Corolla, which as of this morning, has a big scrape on the back bumper, courtesy of the wing-nut 20 yr old chicky-poo that rear-ended me while I was sitting at a red light...
"I couldn't stop!" No shit Dick Tracy, think that might have something to do with all the snow and ice on the road??? Hmmmmm???

To get out the driveway, '96 F250 ps 4x4. Took 4 runs. Spent way too long moving this blessed white stuff out of the driveway so I could dig out my 88 linc and '06 LS. A garage and a place to park the old JD 4020 with a loader is on my short list.

My 67 el camino that I had to lay out in the gravel and cold last night to replace the governor in the trans. Works great now, gotta love these old cars!

  18. My 1998 Honda CR-V that was so frozen up this morning that the keyless entry wouldn’t unlock the doors, so I had to crawl through the hatch to get in. Then scrape the frost from the inside of the windshield with a credit card. Luckily buy the the time I got to work (with the heater on full blast the whole way) I was able to unlock the drivers door and free myself.

Drove my '49 1/2 ton Chevy. My only vehicle. I don't have door or window seals yet, so when it snows I have snow coming in the cab. No heat due to heater core leaks bad. Have to keep a scraper handy to clear windshield inside & out. Makes you appreciate summer.

  20. Drive to work, what a concept. I haven't driven to work in a year and a half. But does going for coffee count?
