    probably right around this same time, he was match racing landy just over the cdn/us border at boundary bay in '75, i believe it was right after the fallnats in seattle.

    I've had that book for a long time too. The scary thing is that most everything stated in it still applies today. It is jammed full of "knowledge".

    2 other great books to have is: How to hotrod big block chevys and How to hotrod small block chevys.. I've had those since '76-'77 also.. ;)

    Also... Car Craft, May 1972 (50 cents!). There is an article that looks inside the engine that was in the infamous Vega that won Pro Stock at Pomona. Great stuff!:cool:

    A friend of mine (larry Kimball) one of the "famous Kimball brothers" here in independence Owned and restored this car...I had heard he sold it a few years back for $750,000.00 too a guy in PA......Larry is also the guy I bought my first car (1969 camaro) from at age 16,

    I raced every weekend at Wichita,Kansas in early seventy`s. In between rounds me and my brother stood right along side of the starting line,edge of the pavement no barrier.Try that nowdays. Watched Funny cars there in 72 and then Jenkins pulled up to the starting line ,did his burnout and took off. Scared the crap out of me.I remember thinking that guy is crazy. The Vega wheelied and jumped all over the track all the way down the quarter. I remember thinking that thing has way too much power for such a short wheelbase.It was a great time to be young.
