Great condition, oldest model award for sure.

I'll claim second oldest with mine, I'd say about 1960 or so.

I buy and sell kits at local toy shows (flea markets really). At a recent show, it was refreshing to see a few men shopping with youngsters in tow. Some of the kids had some good questions about kits in general...one kid wanted to know about Tom Daniel kits, and if any were available. I thought this scene was pretty cool.

Still building them but not as quick as I did years ago and now too much other stuff to do.

  19. Boy, does that bring back memories for me as a kid. In the 60's, a friend and I shoveled snow for $5. We had to split the money to $2.50 each. To make $20, we had to do at least 8 driveways. But, we did it.
As I remember: Candy bars was 5 cents a piece and Models was about $2 or a little more. I would blow all my money on models.;)

    Nice builds!
Yeah,I don't get it. I AM retired, and I used to love building models. I still want to,but it seems like I spend too much time on this damn computer.
I know what you mean about kids not building them anymore. They have too many other things (things we never had) to amuse them.

Maybe when the weather gets nasty...

  21. I first built models, then built cars and now, I draw them.

  22. A little tame compared to that Willys gasser. 1930 Model A coupe.

  26. i'd like to offer a counterpoint: the level of quality kits and variety of aftermarket parts has never been better.
