Man,I am really looking forward to the show. Being a vendor is such a blast, although I miss out on a LOT of the fun going on throughout the day. The 2013 show will be a bit tricky for me though. I lost my job of 6 and a half years back on July 25th. Thankfully I am employed (as if Oct. 8th) but will have no vacation time by the time the show rolls around. Regardless, I will definitely be there! Winter isn't even here yet and I'm already itching for a car show!!!!!!

It is always cool to see what the car club picks are.
I think it was last year that one car got 4 awards......
this shows that if a car is "right"then everyone agrees.....
There are no politics with this stuff - it is simply a matter of what a car club thinks is the best car there.

This year we are going to try to do what we did at the Iron Invasion.
Cars will be able to actually drive up to the stage and the car club will then present the owner with the car club pick award or trophy or plaque or case of beer....whatever....
So if you want to present a car with a pick....
try to find the owner before the awards ceremony 0R leave a note in the car that the club likes and tell them to come over to the stage about 15 minutes before the awards are given out.
The car clubs have to watch and see what cars are coming up to the stage and be ready to present.
There is no way to effectively stage these vehicles in an orderly manner....so the car clubs will have to jump up on stage and present when they see the car they picked come up front of the stage.
Hopefully I am making this clear enough.....

    Here's the art for '13-

I know it's a bike, but there's little bitty hot rods running around at the bottom...

Tomkat - I can tell you that every year I get people that come up to me and say "I wish I would have been here on Friday"
There is a LOT going on both days....and since we had many people camping on Thursday night last year - we have decided to go ahead and have the pre party parade on Thursday night in downtown Dubuque.
I strongly urge you to hit the show on Friday. Ask others that have been both days and they will confirm what I am saying.

Los Punk Rods will be in the house!
Love it - wait til everyone sees the amazing work Dave did on his chopper.....
    wow.
His bike is an indoor feature fer sure.
    The question is..
will he bring the revolving stand and old school Christmas lights to shine on the bike?
    Either way it is cool.
    Love you guys.

No one says they "...cant wait to be in Dubuque" unless of course it's for Torquefest.
