I bought two 8ba's and an engine stand as a package deal for less than core value of one 8ba. Oh and a hub/drum puller for my banjos.
The AV8 pile is getting pretty big for not having a body yet.

Didnt buy, but inherited the 35 chevy master coupe in the pic to the left from the old man. He kept the promise he made when I was a kid...to give me his coupe when he bought another hotrod (34 Ford, factory steel body + frame, mild 302, P&J front). He 'gave' me the car half a dozen times in the past and took it back when he learned about my plans to hack it up. Now im older and appreciate the fact that he held it til I outgrew the "cut the bitch up" phase.
And sold? Never. Still have my first hotrod car from high school (10 sec 66 cutlass street car) and bike (chopped, shovel topped 53 pan) and they will put them in the dirt with me when I go.

I couldn't sell a thing. ended up cutting up a perfectly rusty Henry J and selling a few parts. I kept a lot for my car, so it didn't die in vain.

I think I may be the only bloke here that hasn't bought or sold anything.....I'm well stocked up on everything (cept for the nickel and dime stuff that comes up) I need to finish (finally) the 49 AD... I just lack the full time to devote to it....

I did take some time and finish selling of the epic collection of helicopter crap I have accumulated and made a pretty penny off of that (RC not full scale) and reinvested that money into my gun collection.....

Really slow year for me. Bought 2-3 thousand dollars worth of parts at the swaps and Ebay and sold my'48 F1. Hated to sell the pickup but I've finally come to the conclusion that if ElPolacko ever decides to go back into production of his Dakota front suspension swap kits I'll probably be too old to drive.:( I didn't give up easy but after 5-6 years I decided it's time to move on. When I bought the truck it was for the express purpose of using his suspension stuff as I had heard so much good about it.

My life isn't just rusted 28 coupe bodies.... In this day and age When me and my peers are 22 yrs old. a beat coupe body doesn't get you the fame and women that a lifted 4x4 in my farming community does.

I went in with two other friends and bought this 63 for $2100 and flipped it for $5100 after a little TLC.

  27. He's right; when I was in South Carolina the girl selling tickets at the stock car track I went to complemented my POS beater '91 Chevy van, of all things. Not that it looks like total crap, but I mean haven't washed it once since I got it either.

Attracting women that are old enough to remember HAMB-friendly cars is great when you're in your 50s or 60s, but probably not when you're 22.
