Actually, I think it's a Briggs body, '31 Cabriolet. Note the body reveal lines are the same, the short quarters with the long doors.
The quarters are low, for the folding Cabriolet top. This is a stock body, without any of the top mechanism. (also note the studs on the windshield header for clamping the top upper header)

I channeled one of these over Deuce rails when I was a youngster. Body cost me $3!

So, go back and check out the fiberglass thing, it's looking like you could flip it and put some money back into the roadster.

I am one of the very few fortunate enough to have ever wandered the grounds at the location of Nick's find. To say it's jaw dropping is a total understatement! I have to agree with Atwater mike now that I can see it, it's a '31 cabrio...

I just shat myself. What a once-in-a-lifetime find. For me, it looks like a never-in-a-lifetime find, haha. We don't have places like that on Long Island.

 

The coolest thing I see it the nose from a 71 GTX sitting on top of the container.

Cool find! I think making it safe & driveable is what I'd do. You can always "restore" later. Where is that yard located? Would they let any more of us "low-lifes" in?

That's the thing, this is a private yard and NOTHING is for sale. It's not that we are guarding it, that's just the way it is. Nick has some connections with the family and got very lucky...

 

Chip's got it right. I practically had to trade teeth just to get them to let me post these photo's. This is a lifetime collection of not just one, but a few generations. Many of the cars you see are either parts cars or awaiting their turn to be restored. If only I could show you guys some of the finished cars...

The fiberglass egg-crate thing is an Olds powered Kurtis sports car, by the way.

 

The owner of this yard doesn't sell things. Period. The reason for keeping it a "secret" is out of respect for the family.

Nice find!!Killer yard!! Looks to be full of goodies. If that glass hood next to the roadster is a real 69 sixpac fiberglass lift off hood from a A12 roadrunner or superbee thats good money laying there!

 

the fiberglass body may be a Byers shell; would need clearer photos to identify it.
