Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by the-stig, Dec 8, 2012.

  1. Great day in Irwindale today, didn't get to take the car or spend too long but I did take a few pictures.

    I'll take this as is.

  2. A few more.

Looks like something from Cartoons but kinda cool.

    Radiator in the trunk.

Not a hot rod but I like it.

  3. The cars are packed so close together, it's hard to get good pics anymore.

Doesn't this belong to someone here?

Couldn't get a good pic of this but it was pretty.

  6. Awesome pics!

Anymore of the green '55/'56 Ford? What grill was used? Anymore info on it?

    Thanks!

  7. Also if anyone knows what spotlights were used on it that would be rad! Thanks!

  8. That's the only one I got of it. I'm pretty sure it belongs to someone here.

  9. Cool pics, thanks for sharing.

  10. With a name like 'the-stig' I'll go out on a limb here and suggest you prolly know what a MP4-12C is...

Nice pics, looks a good variety of cars. Thanks.

  11. I did find these I took at last years Mooneyes open house.

Looks like lots of good stuff but also some absolute junk. It's unbelievable what some peoples idea of cool is.

The grille looks to be a 55-56 Plymouth Kustom made to fit and the spots look to be Appleton 411 "Dummy's"

concur, it's sad to see some potentially nice rides go to the "rat rod" side

Lots of really great stuff gets polluted by junk. I try and avoid the rust rods. Still I'm grateful for the pics Stig!
    I like this one too!

Holy shit, that's the "Tower of Power"! Back in the late 70s and early 80s this was one of the heavies on the Lowrider circuit. Glad to see it's still around..........E

It was a good show but it's got so big that a lot of shit has slipped by, lots of horrible rat rod turds as well as some VWs and modern SUVs?? The other thing was the amount of drunk assholes throwing beer cans at people and tossing them on the ground. We saw people dumping trash on the ground and two people walking around covered in blood like they had just been beat to shit. I can see this show being stopped if assholes don't get their shit together and stop the stupidity.

That roof?! Roll pan?! Half Door?! That may not be pretty, but it sure is hard to look at.

Have the vans been allowed in before this year? I don't remember seeing them in years past. They took up a lot of room and no one besides the van owners seemed too interested in them.

  29. I appreciate the OP taking the time to post photos but like some of the Turkey Run photo's from Daytona Beach,Florida it has way too many RR's.

There are some nice cars in this post. HRP
