well my problem Is that I have cars for sale yet everytime I get someone interested, they haggle me so bad on the price, I just give up. Not scrapping them. But they will sit till someone comes up with what I want for them. Even a decent offer would work.

I feel you choptvan. The problem , as u know, is noone has enough expendable money to really get serious about their offers and ur cars. Ive had to sale cars for less than I expected, but still made a profit.

More PICTURES and less narrow perspective opinions based on personal experiences about why this stuff sits around please. Fact remains that there are any multitude of reasons (some valid), none of which need perpetually rehashed in this thread.

And captmullette, mix an anger management class in with your camera. :D

Makes on the pile, from left to right, top row:
SAAB 92, Opel Kapitän, Ford Prefect, Ford Anglia.
The question is, what is the one in middle, below Prefect, left of Anglia?

Certainly not! For all I know it could be Skoda, Steyr, warszawa or any east european car manufacturer.

  18. Guy in my home town had an Imperial identical to the one in these pictures. He was a severely disabled WWII vet and the only Medal of Honor recipient I have ever known personally. Pictures of that Imperial brought back a good memory,

As sad as it is to see some of these cars rotting into the ground, and as much as I would love to have many of them, there is something beautiful about abandoned junk in an abandoned setting, just sitting how it was last used and forgotten.

That old merc kicks ass!! Do you know any history on it? Who built the car? Who painted it? Any pics of it in its glory days? Thanks for posting! That other wild custom with the fenders styled kinda like rolls royce is really cool also, would like to know the history on it too, what is the deal on these cars? are they just rotting, or are they forsale? I could never afford them but just currious, they look like they deserve to be saved that is for sure! Jim

Yeah I guessed you were talking about the 4cv, but this one has it's headlight hanging too low on rounder fenders kind of like a DKW 306 and the aligator hood is pointy on the font not squarish like the Renault or the DKW. Plus there are openings on the nose not needed for a rear engine. Not French 100% sure, not British, could some obscure Swedish brand other than SAAB, I doubt this would be German, the only brands I can think of are East German, Polish... they were plentiful brands with low prod numbers and sometimes dedicated to just one model or knock off of other cars.
