popular french car 2cv

  1. Are the cases pure aluminium? Could you weld them and then machine them to alter the stud spacing and accept VW barrels? Maybe it would be possible to raise them a touch to clear the lifer bores? Just thinking out loud here, it´s probably nonsense.

    Or fit a Panhard motor!

I think it s easier to fit a Citroen GS.
Air cooled like the 2Cv, but with 4 cylinders and about 55 or 65 hp.
    It s been done.

    I agree. It s more funny :)
That s why I also keep an old engine in my car, and plan to use a supercharger on it, instead of swapping for a more modern one, for the same power in the end ..

fitting a 4 cil, gsa engine is also alot of work. i have done that to my dyane:

its a 1300cc with around 80 hp at the moment, im makening plans / parts to change it to a 1600cc compressor with around 150hp.

but im also working on a standerd 2 cil engine for a friend of mine, but than a 710cc with compressor, u can get around 75 hp out off the standard engine and still drive reliable =].

also its possible to put a 1100cc bmw motorcylce engine in, but well that is a bit lame to do,

  9. With 150hp I don´t think you need to worry about being too slow.

American license plates are popular collectables in northern Europe

  25. That's right. Any old plate will fetch $20 and up.

When I was a kid and could not drive, I loved to ride my bike up the hill to the one parked up there on a side street. It sure reminded a teenager of a 34 Ford. suicide doors and all. The memories are fine but I can't get into a ferrin car. JMO
