Hot Rods My first build...... take 2!!!

Anyway alot has changed since my original first hotrod build thread where I was originally building a T and had started on a frame and whatnot. Whoops hit enter way too soon better edit and keep typing.

Anyway again I recently got the chance and took the chance to buy this project.

Here is the pic from the add, it is only mocked up in the pic. There is alot of work to do here.

I'll be watching this build.. I'm in the process of doing a 30 roadster as well.... yours is in nice shape!!

 

I had a mate who knows model a's go look at it, it is rough has no floors, but the rust is minimal besides what you see on the surface, and bottom of the cowl and doors. It is mostly dents and botched panel work that someone has done.

The cool thing is it is a real model a roadster.

 

As I warned my boss, and I even have it on a t-shirt. "Warning may do stupid things at any time."

 

I have had a few bosses that didn't know they were doing stupid things.

 

Some things I allready have for the build, not including the numerous stuff that came with the roadster.



Got the stubs for that as well.
Still got this repro crossmember from the original T build.

My ASC deuce rails


Also have another axle plus a couple that came with the roadster. I have a flathead banjo diff center and sidebells thats currently in the lounge. I also have a 39 ford rear crossmember aswell.

 

looks pretty cool just from the mock up, go for it

 

It probably will look quite different from the mockup, that is how the seller had it advertised in that mocked up stage. I must admit he has good taste as his mockup is cool.

 

Looks like this is going to be another fun build.

I got the car from another town so it is being stored in a safe place for now until I can get it here.

Cool project, i saw this one for sale and thought it would make a sweet ride. Will keep an eye on progress, have fun with the build. JW

 

Yeah still doesnt feel real yet, I think it still needs to sink in that its really mine. I am one step closing to feeling like I can say I am a hotrodder, it goes beyond just being into hotrods. Right of passage you could say.

 

Soon will be giving my blood to those of rodding past.

 

I felt the same way waiting 3 weeks for my rpu to be delivered, just like xmas. JW

 

Good timing huh it is christmas!! haha. I should go and stand in the santa line at the mall so that I can sit on his lap and give him my hotrod parts wishlist.
