Wiring can definitely make or break a clean engine compartment.
    Here's some of mine.

Here's something funny, when I built my hotrod I was a auto wiring novice so I turned to the Internet for help, I found a great article on wiring a 1934 ford hotrod and it said to install all the components an a piece of plywood with a good common ground. It seemed like a good idea so that's what I did. in retrospect it was totally unnessary for me as they were wiring a glass car.ha
Oh well it still worked out.

The '48 Plymouth wiring looks like it could be the "space shuttle" wiring. WOW

Here's my humble contribution. It's a gauge cluster for a '49 Olds that I up dated with aftermarket gauges, wired, then set up with a connector so it can be pulled out with out screaming and yelling...

Front mount distributor.. well Mag, which makes the wires really really long this way. Run under the headers and up, because I don't like them thrown over the valve covers.

They are actually different now, attached to the side of the valve cover and run down to the plug. I can't find a great picture, they aren't attached to anything here but you get the idea.

Shure Langy, just throw a picture of the waxed cotton cord tied stuff up there like it's no big deal... 'Course some of us have been trying to figure that out for like, forever!

Here are a few of my stuff.....I used to be into hiding everything as much as possible, but I've grown into making it look functional and good. Most recently, I've been cable lacing cloth wiring in the original colors from Ford.

    Louvers,

I like your wiring but tell me, how long did it take you to learn to write upside down like that?

Yeah where do you get the lacing. I should have got some from my work (navy yard ) before I retired.

  24. Here is a link on lacing. I find it works best to read the instruction while practicing with a piece of string. I think I will try this on my next wiring project. I like the idea of no bumps from the plastic tie wraps.

    Yes, thank you a bunch.

  28. Its nice and neat ......

  29. This is the wiring I did when I first built the Roadster, I'm in the process of tearing it all out and putting in a 9 + 3 kit from Todd at Rebel Wire. I just like things to be as perfect looking as they can be. I also re-did my engine when I put the new MSD dist. in. I'm glad this thread got started because I need some ideas, thanks. I'll post up some pic's on this thread when I'm done with the new and improved set-up.
