I'm going to go look at this A-coupe tomorrow believe its a 29. He wants $3500. I think its a little steep. I will check it out tomorrow when he hauls it in. Been sitting out in NW Oklahoma for some years.

^^^ Yup, I was gonna say $3500 was about twice what I'd go on it.

An offer of $1500 on a $3500 asking price will piss him off enough that you won't get a second chance. $1500 would be stealing it. And yes, those deals do exist. But if he's asking $3500, he's not an idiot. Start at $2200 (if you are actually serious) and go up in $200 increments. What's it really worth? Only the two of you will ever know.

Maybe in your neighborhood. But I'm glad that I don't live there. I think it's pretty rusty, and only worth $1,000. My brother collects those 28/9 coupes like butterflies, and I'm sure he'd agree with me.

If it doesn't have a title, $1500 might be too much.

$1500 was my number when I saw the first pic.

$3500 is way high. I drove mine home for $5k, that one needs everything.

Glad I don't live in Jersey. That's way too much money for that rusty hulk. CTJ

where are you guys getting Model A's like that for $1500.00?

if I am ever asking $3500.00 for something and you come by to look and feel the need to offer $1500.00 just keep it to yourself. that way I don't have to slam the door in your face.

Anyone who pays $3,500 for that thing is either high, drunk, stupid or a combination of all three. My Dad bought a nice running, driving '31 Coupe six months ago for twice that. Nice Model A's are still pretty plentiful and easy to locate. Keep looking.

  18. here you could probably get 3500 for that.mine was 1500 and was WAY worse than that one. mine was hardly anything to call a 'car"

I think it's worth 3500 as well, has anyone noticed the drums? Might have been a hot rod at one time?

If you can find any other similar cars / pictures / prices etc ....take them with you . Before I scrolled down , I looked at the pics and thought $1500 . If you can take any other "evidence" with you it will help the discussion . Up to now it doesn't look like anyone has been beating the door down to give him $3500 .

In my area it would be about a $1500 car, more if it had a title of some sort. The Dot is starting to make the registration proses a little more difficult in Iowa.More paper work, and hoops to jump through. Sometimes its easier to pay a little more for a car with paperwork.

I bought this one for under $5000, in California, just to compare!

I agree with alchemy. Around here $1000 bill. Cool but pretty rusty.

I know they are getting harder to come by, but $1750 would be my top dollar on this one. Good luck in your search, one'll turn up at the right price.

Three or Four serious bidders at an auction. Might make it to $4500, with a title $5000.

There is a full set of fenders and most of the trim. A deck lid costs from $250-500.
Plenty of tin fleas, but it looks straight, which is better than some. I'd take a wag at 1.5 - 2K

Yeah, I would not hand over any money until the tree is cut out of it. $1500 if it falls left $14 if it falls right.
