Yeah, I'll be home, come on over. Supposed to be cold friday, so I'll probably have the stove fired up and I'll be tinkering in the garage.[/QUOTE]

I will call before I come.. I see showers and cool temps as well in the forecast.

Here are a few. The '53 behind the fire engine actually had a 240 OHV six in it and it was a great long mileage service pickup. It was surveyed after 150.000 miles which for that era was impressive. But monthly oil changes contribute to that service life too.

That truck behind the fire truck might be a 53 but it's grill is a 54!:D

I'm going to bend mine back in a 25 ton press. I know it will work because I have done it before

Here is mine. I am new to the F1 club and lovin it. Wife told me I should of got a truck first. Now I listened.

1949 F1 I picked it up off here from another HAMBer.
I had some photoshop work done on it to see what it might look like. Now the work begins.
Photo 1 How I got it.
Photo 2 Water on the truck I added the visor.
Photo 3 What I am thinking is going to be done on the truck.
It will be a tribute to all those that have and will serve in the 5 branches of the service. My dad and 2 brothers served. My 1 brother got out after 23 yrs in. 3 tours in Iraq, 2 tours in Afghanistan, and 2 tours in the Gulf desert storm.

Yes, 4" out of the roof and 2" out of the back window. Cut the rear of the roof under the back window 2" and the back window 2". I had a second roof so the windshield did not need to be laid back and there was only the one seam across the top.

And after alot of rust repair, paint stripping, engine replacement etc and being shot with epoxy primer.

Still alot of work to go, but at least its on the road now!

65 F100 Before or during, whichever way you want to look at it, bed is off being cut down to short bed length and body work started.
