Hello! My name is Dan....and I'm in Canada.

I must confess that I've been a HAMB "lurker" for a decade....that's right. Since 2002.

I finally feel that I've garnered enough experience to participate, rather than "spectate" from the sidelines.

I'm a lifelong hot rod guy, who learned the ropes from my dad, who is a lifelong Model A addict.

I currently have two projects on the "go". The first is a 1950 Ford sedan. I bought this car as a restored original. I lowered the car 6" with Fatman dropped uprights, cut coils, rearched springs, and lowering blocks. I then chopped the top 3 1/2", and moved the rear window forward 10-ish inches.

Welcome Dan. I haven't even known about the HAMB that long. If experience is what it takes, many of us would still be spectators. Add pictures and info about your projects. Have fun and share your experience.
We're eagar to hear about your other project.

My second project is a 1962 Ford Falcon, which was a "driver" for a while, but its now getting a non-HAMB friendly engine swap.

In these photos, I had just lowered the car 4".

This is the flathead for the '50. I built the headers, and did three coats of black on the rest of the engine, sanding between coats.

The intake and flywheel cover are silver metallic powdercoat, and there are alot of stainless fasteners.

    I LOVE stainless fasteners.

The garnish moldings illustrate the chop best.

In the 90's, I was really inspired by the work of Barry Lobeck, and built this Vicky in the "Ohio-style".

So.....after a decade, here I am!!! I really feel that the best craftsmen in hot rodding today are on the HAMB, and the metal work here is truly inspirational.

    Thanks for reading!!!

...a couple more of the Falcon. I've loved this body style since I was a kid.

Here are a couple shots of the rear window before and after the move. The space between the rear belt line and rear deck were filled in with a new panel that I made.

Here are a couple colour-sanding photos, after I welded a peak down the center of the hood.

Sorry for the illogical order of the photos. I assure you that I have been building the car "in order". ;)

I'm near St. Thomas Ontario...the city with the most hot rods "per capita" than anywhere else in Ontario. (according to my math ;) )
