Bones are mounted but I still got a little welding to do on the inside and some more sanding

Man! Great looking chassis and great project!

Unless you want original bolts, you can get those from McMaster Carr or Aircraft Spruce. Your local Fastenall should carry them as well.

    Update!!!

Got the spindle welded up and ground down then textured to look factory
Also got the inside of the rails where the wishbone bung goes thru. Going to drill a hole and safety wire the nut since I cant get a cotter pin in there.

Brake actuator bolt tab has been cut off they are originals

  15. Very tasty details. You know me. I like the details. Wishbone ends and mounts look real good. I thought about using those ends as well but it kinda didn't go with right era vibe I was after. Did you TIG weld that steering arm modification? I hope so. You do some nice fab work. Looks like it will be low. I just saw your MG shock mockup. I bet you could figure out a way to put them inside the frame rails and have them hidden and still work. Just a thought. Unless you like they way they look and want them out there.

Yeah the spindle was tig welded. Preheated welded with high nickel rod then into a bucket of kitty litter to cool over night. Welded up nice and my buddy is going to take it to his work and Xray it just the be safe.

I like the look of the shocks and plan on polishing the body on them. I thought about trying to do them inboard but with pinching the rails so much there really no room for them.

Here's a few pics I'v just been playing around with checking the fit of the new subrails. Hard to believe they fit I'm use to having to cut everything to make it fit.
