I love the wheel and tire setup on Coop's model A,

 

Polished aluminum 15 inch TT2's, 8 inch wide 255/60r15 front, 12 wide 275/60r15 on the rear on my 57 Dodge.

JMO, but the polished ones (tt2) are a little too modern looking for me. I'll take the old style raw looking ones every time though....

 

my all-time favorite wheels... they will make just about any car look good

I checked on those about a year ago. At that time, they had a pretty limited selection of widths and backspaces in the 15" sizes. If I recall, they went up to a 15x9.5, but had some odd backspacing (4.5" if I recall). The caps are a bit too futuristic and I was told by one of the sales reps that they will not interchange with the old 5-ear Torq-Thrust style cap. They got the spokes right, though. The are straight, with no curves. They also have this style in bigger diameters with custom backspacing, if that's your thing.

The guys are on the right track, and I hope that they tweak a few details and make them a viable option for someone wanting a traditional looking wheel for a reasonable price.

 

Yes, in my opinion, your car would look awesome with redlines. (Looks great now, too....)

 

A crafty fella could fix that cap issue lickety split.

Their thinking is a deeper back spacing can be adjusted with a spacer quickly. But you can't make them go the other way. The website says they will build anything you want but the individual dealers say no-???

The traditional lip is only available on the 15" hoop.
If they made that in a 16x9ish , hummm.

That pic is chromed but you can get them in polished, as cast or painted ..

Both......don't get me wrong, I LIKE the shiny wheels and they look good on certain cars. But to me they look more street roddish. Trad built cars need old style wheels on them....

Can some of y'all post up the size of tire's as well? The 14, 15's are self explanatory. Rubber rake!

16"-8" and 15"-4"

 

Tire size's people. Especially current owners.

 

I had 15x7 [2:45-60-15] on back with 14 x 6 [1:95-60-14] on front

 

TTO's 15x5 [185's]and 15x8.5 [275/60/15] Pity we have to run cycle guards here.

 

My 55, 15x4 Lemans and 15x8.5 torque thrust American magnesiums.

EVERYBODY on this site who's currently building a Gasser should put down their beverage and study this car. THAT'S the way a gasser should look! My uncle campaigned a '55 Chevy D/Gas car in the mid-late '60s that was very similar to that car in style. It had Torq-Thrusts and was painted metallic blue with blue plexiglass windows, and it sat just like Hot Rod Willys car.

Damn, that car is badass!!! Thanks for posting that picture, it brings back a flood of great memories for me!
