Very cool Norm piece, Jigger!!! Been a while again since I've been on here. Busy making new stuff and was on the road off and on since Lone Star Roundup. Heres my "Foul Plug" set so far. I'm almost finished with the final 2 plugs for my full set of 8. Once I get them all done, I'll be putting together a short run of the entire set with some sort of display.

FOUL PLUGS by Squindo! 6 of the set of 8 available now! They measure approx. 4.5" tall and 1" diameter. All are sculpted, cast and hand painted by me. $30 each includes s&h in US, $40 each overseas. Please include what ones you want in PayPal. PayPal to [email protected] will have the other 2 done soon!

  8. I'm trying to fig out how to do that...there are some logistics as far as getting the image on the box. It would be pretty dang cool to show off your model car collection and show off YOUR car illustrated on a full size model box in the style and era it was built.

Been a while. This one ended up on the R&C cover this month for some strange reason.

  14. Thank you kind and a little bit twisted sir... Good to have you back. The plugs are just plain bit chin but the box art makes them way past worth the price of admission! great stuff man.

For thanksgiving, a repost of my annual offerings... pass the gravy, avoid the ditch and dodge ol' Johnny law... protector of the peace...

After landing on Plymouth's rock, the pilgrims hung out and built a society with laws...

After a long rough winter, they changed things up, abandoned collectivism and tried on capitalism... Things improved and they shared their bounty with the local tribes...

    ...who brought their families...

...and delivered nice gifts, in gratitude, 'cause they had it pretty rough too...

    It was a beautiful thing...

    Happy Thanksgiving gang!

One way to do these for real...
Get yourself an old model box, disassemble it, recreate the layout (including glue flaps) measurements and do your thing. Then find yourself someone with a large format digital printer (some sign shops have them) that can print on fairly heavy card stock. Cut...crease...fold...glue.

I've been working on one as a gift for the owner of a fairly famous show car for a while (box cover art, detail shots, specs, etc.) and that's the way I'm tackling it.

By the way...L-O-V-E that price sticker. I think I may just have to steal that idea.

  23. I like how you did the cast shadow. The whole thing feels 1930's. Good work!

It would be downright funky , if that grey area in your rendering is indicating your hiding your 2 door hardtop plans from us Spoggie ... :D

Much respect to all the artists who do an outstanding job of providing us with a stellar art show each and every week !
