/\ Whats not to like there?..and who hasn't dreamed of building a sort of "ultimate" traditional hotrod?

  3. Car looks incredible!!
It always makes me laugh how people try and equate the money spent on a car with the "taste" or fabrication skill invloved in building it. I fail to see how a high dollar set of brakes or engine makes this a less impressive build than if it didn't have them. No not everyone can afford these types of parts but there are many who can who could not put together such a cohesive well thought out build. The attitude that a "real hot rod" has to have some type of price check on it to be legitimate is getting old. Guys would have been falling over themselves back in the day to be able to assemble this collection of parts for their own car.

    Count me as a thunder.

I love this thing. "Tasteless." A MII IFS is tasteless. A 350/350 is tasteless. Tweed interiors are tasteless. Digital gauges are tasteless. This is.. the Mona Lisa. If Pablo Picasso was alive during the '40's, this is what he would have built. Rembrandt. Michelangelo. Hell, this thing should be shown in the Louvre.

    Tasteless.. Gosh.

Pics of the front end all mocked up, headed off to the metal man to repair the hood.

The rear, the float looks great....you can't quite see how the rear end is set in there.

Sure looks like a hot rod to me! Please tell me you're painting it black lacquer with 2000 hours of hand rubbing!

Those front tires in the outside pics are too "meaty". Please find something a bit slimmer. It needs a bit more ratio from front to back.

  23. this car is coming along SOLID!!!
tell that kid on the bike "this is a serious project"..(last photo)

    AMEN to the 33.
