Funny how traditional that thought is. In the first few years, the word "Hot Rod" was not favorably looked upon by people hopping up their gow jobs.

That's my '40 Sedan Delivery. I've wanted one for a long time and bought it off Jersey Jim. Only plans are to replace the late model buckets with a pair of originals I got at Hershey. The drive to ROG was my first real trip in that car and it ran great. Mel, you were at my house once, I sold you a '40 Ford front seat. Sorry not to check in earlier, but I'm in Oregon and missed the NJ snow storm. On a side note, I got a tour of Bob Drake's facility yesterday. Very cool!

 

Wow, that is some 40! I was on the beach and missed it that day. It sure made he happy to see killer stuff up on the street too. Some great cars.

I remember picking up that seat at your house. I love traveling for parts and meeting cool people. I'm ready for some road trips! Small ones, as I'm busy with lots of cleanup etc. great car, enjoy it, and I hope to see more of it!

 

I think Slick Willy was in the back of the cruiser. lol

That's A little better. I would like to see some of the other runs I did. That was the 1st of 5 runs. The sand was real deep and the little banger fell flat on its face when I shifted into 3rd.

I think I saw a sand crab that beat you guys! looks like one boring day from that video. ha! Sure wasn't, that was one crazy day!

I don't know if you guys are in withdrawal, but I sure the hell am!

If I don't get back to beach racing soon, I think I'm going to cut all the streetlights power again and take it to the streets!

Miles, I wanted to apologize for being so harsh the other day- someone's been whizzing in my coffee lately and the "rat rod" reference set me off.

Hope life is starting to get back to normal along the coast- it's hard to see Jersey hurting so badly (I grew up in Philly).
