Now thats an ASS kickin rod ! Bob, can you divulge if its going to stay in Texas awhile, maybe long enough for next years Round Up ?
This car has been badass for years. Does everyone live in a cave? Glad Bob's getting some props though.. He's the man
That roadster is awesome, especially since it has a long family history. I agree the headers are terrible, but it would be a shame to change them at this point. Killer hot rod.
That car is seriously how I found the HAMB. I was into chopper motorcycles and then I saw the very first Mad Fabricator's Society movie when it first came out. I saw the Bob Bleed part of that movie and when I got back online, I searched for pictures of that car... and it brought me to this site. I'm alot more into hot rods now than I was ever into motorcycles.
Bleedster is one of the legends of the HAMB of yore. Wish more from the past would post up their stuff. Plowboy....Cole Foster....Johnny Ace.....Barnett.... This white car is a KILLER of past and present. No LS1, no contrived 'patina'. Two thumbs up Bob&Co.
For the record, I'm pretty sure Bob's green roadster is not called 'The Bleedster'. The Bleedster was a different roadster... search it.
Looks like me and all my friends have been pronouncing it wrong for decades ! Always pronounced it plural, back to when he was on Burleigh Street, oops ! Russ Sack's Classic Muffler Shop
...went all the way through school with his youngest daughter. She was always gettin dropped of in somethin loud -pretty cool. I wish he was still around, I'm getting to that point. Who do you have doing your pipes now?
This is the Mad Fabricators clip that made me always remember Bob and that car- http://youtu.be/h0gDnagI5to
Feel lucky that the virgin unicorn didn't have you. I have actually read an article on the car some place.
I met Bob in 2003 and have ridenb around in that car several times over the 10 years and I gotta say that car gives me the chills like the first time I rode in it.. It's truly the greatest hot rod ever.. It sounds so good and hauling ass around WI. and Austin has been some of the best times of my life.. That car has so much soul it's sickening!!! Check out mad fabricators volume 1 for the entire story from Bob and Bob Sr. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Came across another nice shot of the coupe. I like them Low, chopped & channelled. They call it East Coast style but I remember a lot of them in the '60's, here in SoCal, when going to the shows with my Dad. Of course a lot of that style at the Flats too.
Cool, I can not recommend enough to buy mad fabricators one to learn about this car. Then buy every other mad fab dvd. Some of the coolest most timeless hotrods have come out of wisconsin, mad fab dvds exposed me to alot.
Killer A, but what kills me is the frame.... A true east coast channeled A body on a stock frame would have put this car over the top.. Im no expert.. just typing in my $0.02.. besides the ultra Z'd (rat rod) frame, I think its nice!
