Any Gibbs Lubricant retailers/dealers/distributors in Los Angeles? I'd like to try it but I don't need a case quantity.

This thread has morphed into Terry's personal "for sale" ad. We have a place for that.

Just talked to a buddy who is head of tig dept for a BIG fabrication operation. Asked if he ever heard of Gibbs. He said that's all they use to preserve new raw steel in the yard before use. They use case & cases of it.

At $130 a case that sounds like an expensive extra cost to store raw materials. Unless they get it at a discount in drums? Long term, the continual cost of buying Gibbs could be spent building a shelter for the material.

Ever see what happens to raw steel when stored in a cold building? Gibbs would be cheap compared to the cost of building and maintaining a facility with the environment to keep raw steel corrosion free.
For those still looking for a source for Gibbs you can't beat Dave Mann at Roadsters.com

It's a pretty specialized operation, and highly profitable I assume. They may have some type of shelter system too, IDK. I do know, for what they build, the steel & other materials can in no way be compromised, or questionable in any way. Think ultra quality control. :D
