I like the look with the port holes gone and hood scoops instead. Nice color combo too.

So after another really long weekend. Everything is painted and the panels are bolted back on. I NEVER want to line up painted panels (doors, hood, trunk lid) ever again. Its so much easier and way less stressful when they are in primer. So here it is guys. What do you think??? We got it home and now its in my shop and its time to reassembly. Oh yea and a little wet sanding.

I too, like the color combination. That's a sweet car. Couldn't get much lower, could it?

I like it. This is one of the few body styles that can pull off the Packard tails and make it look right. I also like the spotlights. Really, there's nothing I don't like about this car, and that seems rare.

    Well done.

The side ports look great on traditional classic Buicks. This car has so many great customs features that it doesn't need the ports. I like it better without them. Just my 2 cents.

I've got a '52 Special that's way back on the burner, but it's always good to have ideas. I'll be following this to see where it leads.

    Hey DirtyNapkin,

Really diggin this, but I had to go to library for a real computer to view this. Any way you can reduce picture size? They are way too big to load on dial up at home, and my antique browser.

Lovin' the mint/cream color. That dash is gonna be so pretty to look at with all the Buick chrome back on there. Pinstripes?? Hope so.

This year Buicks weakspot is the tail lights, IMHO. Your Packard units should have come on there from the factory. Looking good!! And the new back glass. Thumbs up.

May as well weigh in on the portholes. I like 'em gone. I'm removing my stockers and the stock swoop trim. Got some new trim sketched out and using 57 Buick portholes, but down lower.

Keep up the great work. I'll follow along, even if I gotta make a trip to the library to do it! LOL

Thanks everyone for the kind words.... Its coming a long. Its a lot more nerve racking working on it now with fresh paint. Here's some pics of the chrome and the seats I just got back. I copied Barris' style on the seats he did for his 50 Buick. I love the button style and I don't think its used enough. What do you guys think??????

Also I have no clue how to re size my pics. If I knew how I would make them smaller.

THANKS EVERYONE for their input. So I've been busting my butt in the garage trying to get it together. With my painter/friend Kyle Martin coming over and color sanding it. The plan is to have it ready for GNRS so there's a little pressure. Well after another weekend down we were able to drive it out of the garage and let it breath in the sun. Here's some pics. What do you guys think?

Drivinford, No they are not original gauges. They are from Classic Instruments. The Nostalgia VT I had to have them to make a clock for me in the 4 5/8 size. Not cheep but they look great. There tech support SUCKS I called them with a question and the jack ass hung up on me. I can't wait to see them at a car show. lol
