wishing Rick the very best. one day at a time, since you never what will come your way.

This past August per the ad in the Rodders Journal, I contacted Rick to order tags for BLC headlights. We had a great talk and he sent them right out. Beautiful pieces. I am very saddened to hear of his medical issues and send him and his loved ones my very best wishes for a full recovery.

  8. Prayers sent, wishing a speedy recovery!

  9. Yeah, anybody? I've been holding my breathe all day, hoping to hear good news. Rick's a super guy---I wish him the best gettin' thru this.

For the past year or so, Rick and I have been talking about hooking up in St. Louis for a couple of days to do shop tours and what not. In fact, I was eying a Riviera in Detroit and the plan was to drive home via St. Louis for the fun...

I tell you one damned thing - as soon as Rick is back on his feet, I'm taking the first jet to Missouri.

I have known Rick since the 70's and just talked to him a couple of months ago. My prayers are with him during his operation and during recovery.

    Thanks Bob for the information.

Hello, thanks for all the kind words for Rick!

Today Rick underwent a 7/8 hr operation to repair his heart.

Monday they put Rick on life support which will keep his body going while his heart could have some idle time. His heart was very tired & seems to have liked the idle time!

Today they gave Rick a double by-pass. It was during that work they decided Rick did not need battery pumps for both sides of his heart like they planned to do.

The doctors were both satisfied how things turned out with explaination:

Rick had someone call 911. Asap

Barnes in St Charles treated Rick for a blood clot. Asap

Barnes air lifted Rick to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis (premier heart instituite). Asap

Doctors hooked Rick to life support to allow Ricks heart to rest. Asap

Currently Rick is resting with another 5 or 6 days in intensive care. Rick will need some time in rehab before he is back to being Rick. My guess is once he is healthy his wife Karen will give him a beating for putting her thru this (I'm kidding Karen).

Thanks again for yorur prayers & kind words

Wow, that is good news for a terrible situation !

Glad to hear a bypass is what Rick rerquired and not the heart pumps...
