I have an old family photo of 5 horses standing side by side in a cedar stump with our entire family standing on the upper cut above them. Also, my great aunts house was built on a huge cedar stump. Our family is one of the homesteaders of Sedro Wooley. these pics are great!

Whats ironic is the prespcription for health being touted back in the 30's is still being cited as the path to good health today. A lot of parents should take heed to the ad. I cant believe how overweight todays young people are.

The Pyscho was in part owned by a neighbor. It was orginally a Fiat shelled rig. But the installation of the Mustang shell and viola, instant flopper. Car was originally 427 Ford wedge with direct drive.

I wonder if the Devin Vette was considered more of a sports racer or formula libre class than a production class car.

Could it be a 1935 or 1936 La Salle Convertible Coupe?[/QUOTE]

1934 LaSalle, driven by Big Boy Rader. So it would seem that the wrecked LaSalle is '35 or later. I'd been thinking Graham Crusader:p, since the grille was smashed, but too many things didn't match up; and Harley's torpedo headlamps surely say GM.

Here's a '37 SuperCharger (similar to the Crusader). Looks like a cousin to the LaSalle, doesn't it? The swoopy lines of mid-'30s cars are just the visual equivalent of eating, eh?:p

Thanks for sharing your boss' pix, RadleyHardy. Hey, wow! Anybody notice the '49/'50 Kaiser Vagabond multipurpose over in front of the black bear??? Cool to see one in original USE! THIS is the kind of setting ol' Henry J had in mind when he had his people adapt regular (overstocked:rolleyes:, BTW) sedans.

Yes, the "CM" class stands for C Modified, a "sports racer" class. Mostly V8 powered specials such as Devin, Lister, Scarab.

I'm wondering if this is Ted Healy and a very young 3 Stooges with Shemp? Looks a bit like Larry on the left.

I've had a life-long friend for whom the polio vaccine came too late. I've never heard her complain, but I imagine there are times she wishes she was born a few years later.

    This reminded me of J. D. Trippet.[IMG]

A picture of Trippet from 1952.

We forget about that he was a victim too. When I searched for him on the internet, only the Wikipedia article came up and only this picture was there along with his patrol car.
