I never got to meet Casey but just from hearing the things associated with his name and seeing all the friends he had on here, he was without a doubt, a great guy. Shame I never got to shake his hand.

Good to see a piece of Texas history in good hands.

I didn't know Colin, wish I had. I just read the entire thread about his passing. He must have been a hell of a nice guy from all the comments and sadness that was posted.

So nice that his coupe will stay as it was, I bet he is smiling down about that right now. RIP.

  7. I'm happy to hear his coupe will still be beating the streets. When you feel that little push on your right knee that will be Casey wanting to go faster.

Well said Tyler! Like everyone else I miss Casey, always got the craziest funny emails he sent or forwarded every day. Glad the '32 is going to a good home, look forward to seeing it again.

This thread made me smile, too....
Many memories of good times with him during the LSRU.

Great to see his old Coupe is in good hands - someone that cares about preserving it as Collin's.

Hopefully you don't mind some photos I found that made me smile... Good times

Doc it's good to see that the car has come under your stewardship. That is one of the few cars that has as much personality as it's owner did. Hopefully one of these days I'll get to see it make a pass down the track at Little River or even better yet make a pass beside it going for broke.

Don't make it here much any more and didn't know Casey though I probably meet him at one of the Round Ups, enjoyed his post about the fly-ins. Was wondering a few days ago why I hadn't seen the car around in a while, or Casey's posts. Sorry to hear of his passing. I'll probably never quite figure it out, but something about that car always draws me to it for another look.

I remember when Casey had his car towed by a wrecker to Little River and back to Dripping Springs because of unknown reason he couldn't drive...thats dedication...I really miss him

For sure. I looked for you at DOTD 'cause rumor had it that your 55 Nomad might be making an appearance. If dont see you at Pistons & Paint Im sure I will see you at the Thaw.

The Collin Casey coupe made it to the Texas Thaw.
It made 24 passes and it raced in Hotrod class, Streetrod class and ran in the brackets. It won in Streetrod, ran in the semi of the Big Eliminator.
Collins spirit was alive and well.
