--Edit: i made all the photos attachments, much easier to view that way.

Well, A year ago I bought a 1961 comet... Started cleaning up the floors to repair the rust, moved, and was waiting on my landlord to get the garage done so I could bring'er home.. I wound up finding another one, this time a 1963, I really needed to get into my garage..

Got them both into the garage after a lot of crap... (lets just say I can't really talk about it until I can get an estimate and follow up on the police report) now.
So I found, the fender skirts stuffed in the back of the trunk behind all the motor parts.

I've had a pair (2) of these caps for about two years now..
I think with them on the front and the skirts on the back it'll look really good.

    And the '61

And after the ordeal I'm not going to be able to explain until after the police are taken care of...

So I've been taking apart the 61 in trying to combine the two to get the 63 on the road.
So someone decided it was a good idea to put a MOPAR radio unit in the 63.. and the 61 unit needs repaired... not to mention this is what the dash looks like...

I'd hate to cut up the dashboard in the 61 but these dashboards are part of the cab and are spot welded in the pinch the windshield mounts to...

Currently have the drums off the 63 and will be ordering a brake rebuild kit for those.

The 200 i6, brand new exhaust, and new brake lines will be coming off the '61 as well. I already have the windshield taken out of the 61 for the 63 but I feel like holding off on reinstalling that until I complete the rust repair on the floors..

    More to come...

ALSO, WILL PROBABLY HAVE PARTS AVAILABLE FOR SALE TOO... LET ME KNOW.

Thanks, I'm hopin to get some stuff done over the next few months. It's gonna start coolin' down and I like workin' in the fall. I'm going to try repairing the 61's radio so it can go in the 63.

I wanna get the 61 stripped down so I have the room back inside too.

It'll keep me out of the bars but not without a drink near by! ;)

Comets definitely look good with skirts. Very cool project you've got there. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress.

Cool project. Can you put a CD player/radio with a bigger front to cover the hole in the dash?

I don't plan on putting a modern head unit in. If I rebuild the stereo I will probably install an amp with an iPod connection and just put the old radio faceplate from the 61 into that spot.

Your 61 looks like it had the front bashed in. The frame still straight? Your 63 looks to be in good shape though. What were you putting on the front, besides the skirts on the back? Skirts up front????

    9-17-12 Status UPDATE:
WORD OF ADVICE --- DO YOUR BEST TO NOT STEP ON A BRAKE DRUM..... WHEN IT COMES BACK AND SMACKS YOU IN THE SHIN IT WILL HURT LIKE A S.O.B!
    moving on..
Moved the new exhaust into the 63.. Managed to get the manifold off and get it out without any real issue.
Moved the better motor mounts and frame support from the '61 to the '63.
Swapped the old voltage regulator for the brand new one as well.
Removed old brake line on front passenger side and installed the new line.. ran out of good light to get the drivers side done..

Once the brakes are done it will be time for the 200 install.

Welp, got some much needed cleaning done.. Got the car moved for the engine drop tomorrow.. Got one brake done.. Once the engine is in ill have to attempt to move the 61 out before it gets cold and nasty.. Finish the fuel system and brakes and then take out the interior to fix up the floor.

I'm happy I'm makin progress.. Once the thing is runnin it's gonna need a serious scrubbing.. Before I got it it was outside under a roof so it's Offaly dingy and dirty

The 200 is resting easy in the '63. Time to put her back together this weekend.

Well, I haven't said much lately but I bought a 60 falcon to part out a little while back. Sold the body(-doors and front end) to a racer for a vintage dirt modified build, parted the thing up for my 61 comet/falcon build. I'm not sure if I wanna convert to a two door or not.. Time will tell.

Very nice. Haven't seen one with 4" drop, but are those 15" wheels?

Does that C4 bolt right up to the 200? what mods do you have to do for that C4? Different transmission mount and shorten driveshaft?
