  9. HT: I've seen articles where guys have made a new flange and welded it to the steering box. that way you can have any flange stlye and bolt pattern you want You may need to replace the seal after welding but thats easy. Great helper by the way. I did the same with my daughter when she was about that age, she is now 41 and we both cherish the memories. Great work, love the old parts too. Tim

I loved this thread, have 2 daughters of my own. (now 24 and 29) Have had hot rods for years, retired awhile back, just finished building my shop (at home)

Presently patching some steel '27s, a Tub and a Roadster; but have a nice 'glass body (Poli Form) '27 full roadster fit to a '32 frame. The 'glass car was well on its way, but got set aside when I found the steel ones...
Today, thanks to your thread, I have the '32 frame back in my jig for finishing, with its 354 Hemi and '37 LaSalle box. Its lines are pleasing, and it can turn out as nice as I want to block sand! (grimace)
Thanks for a most inspiring picture story, and hug Shelby for all of us!

Police just left, looked for prints. Looks like they had gloves on. They found some just hope the prints are the bad guys. The shop was locked up, they went through the wall.

Fuckers....I watched you build this, and hate the thought of some asshole stealing it.
But.. You keep this in your garage most of the time...correct ? May want to concentrate on people who know it's there...just a thought.

  29. Very, very sorry to hear this. I hope it shows up untouched.
