Really nice work! Looks like you really know what your doing! The metal work is looking really good! Do you Tig or Mig most of your welds?
GMM...mig. I know it's a myth that you can't hammer and dolly a mig weld. I have never had a problem with a weld cracking while metal working it. And I've worked some welds pretty hard Clark
Cool to hear you say this. I too do all my stuff MIG and have never had a problem with working a weld or cracking. I'd love a TIG, but it just isn't in the cards right now. The build is lookin' cool as hell, loved the dies and fixtures your coming up with to do the things your doing. I can see why you were so protective of the "tall spare wheels list" thread that we bumped heads on a few weeks ago. I see what your doing and it makes sense. I should open my mind a bit more sometimes...
Louvers...yeah, sorry about that. I try to stay away from the drama but sometimes I can't help it. I wish I could find some wheels that I could just add the Goodyear outer to. Problem is most wheels have much sticking out the front side. Looks like I need to find a modern wheel with a 17x5 it's inch hoop to put on the Plymouth wheel. I need an inch added to the front and the back of the Plymouth wheel. Sawzall...next week!
The front fender aprons have been kicking my ass. I got one just about done. Lots of trimming and have to finish the front. I had to make it from scratch with the front being pinched and the body being channeled. Clark
Had the car outside today...haven't had much time to work on it lately. It's going to my home shop and will start working on it on the weekends. Gotta get back to making a living.
Quit slacking off, and get the thing finished. I want to see it at COBO! 'Kin brilliant work Clark. Cheers, Stewart.
