    Does any company make a 2x1 or 3x1 intake for a 1974 6 cyl,, 250 cube motor ?

If you know of one, please attach a link.

    Thanks

Check out Dan at Exeter Auto Supply (Alliance Vendor). I've gotten a lot of stuff from him including my Chevy 6 3x1 offy intake. Dan is always willing to help.

Bad news, i just looked at the motor i got and the intake looks to be part of the head.

That takes care of that idea..

Well, If anyone needs a Low mile Good running 250 cu.in. straight 6 cyl, It's complete, Air cleaner to carb and fan to flywheel, Drop in and GO.. :)

you can swap for a different head that does not have the intake cast as one unit.

Pop off the integral head and put on one from a 194 (more compression) and then go intake shopping.

Any head, from 194 through 230, 250 & 292 will fit your 250 engine and solve the problem. I have the same style 250 in my shop right now and and have some 292 heads, one of which is going to get transplanted.

Don't give up on your engine...heads are available and easy to install. Just be sure to get the correct exhaust manifold too, as the integral manifold design uses a different exhaust manifold than the non-integral head.

yup swap the head for a non integral manifold head , also get yourself a copy of chevrolet inline six-cylinder power manual , 2nd edition by leo santucci , i bought a copy for $21 off the bay and it helped me find the parts i needed for the 292 im working on , some of the parts interchange information steered me clear of a few mistakes i might have made , and i liked the picture s to : )

    Thanks for the info folks.

But i'll probably drop my 406 in instead. I was just going to use this as a temp set-up. :)
