just amazing the cars he owns. and I am sure he has a warehouse full of others that were not there. He builds so many no way he could store then all at his place..

I forgot to post pics of his Rat Rod. The Ford emblem has been replaced with a Camel Toe Racing emblem!

  6. Flipper I was lucky enough to be there also. George is a great guy who loves building cars. The 56 Chevy has got to be the top car in the collection. I was told it took 11,000 hrs to build.

Thanks for posting your photos of what had to be a killer afternoon. Mr Poteet has a beautiful collection of cars. Very gracious of him to share.

Not just see the cars...they fixed enough food to supposedly feed 600 people!

A car guy's car guy, and a damn nice one to boot. Met him at B-ville a couple of years ago, and he is the genuine article. Good on him!

  19. There are TWO black Widows in Flipper's pics, back-to-back. THe first looks original, the second, if I'm correct, is a modern interpretation of the first car. One of the monthly publications did a fearute on it...thinking Street Rodder!

I'd love, absolutely love, to see pics of what the original condition/shape of some of these amazing cars as he found them, before he had magic worked onto them.

Good for George, is what I say. Work hard and play hard.

    Thanks for posting these pics.

I noticed not too many have slush boxes, a real pennant for manuals.

A friend of mine said it was actually cheaper to do it that way than build a garage twice as big.

Wow, i've seen several of his cars out west at Vegas and Bonneville but didn't think he had that many.
He seems to really like 61 Fords and probably has enough $$ to pry my 61 Meteor wagon off me. I like how he did his purple 61 Ford wagon.

Mr. Poteet is a real nice down to earth guy,but do y'all realize how many of those cars are magazine feature cars and the cars on top of the hill ,one is even a moal built coupe, one is a brizio and thats just two they are all top notch that place is real cool and it's only about 45 minutes from my house if they do it again it would need to be a must if you can, think about it private collection, land speed record holding car and driver with crew bunch of magazine cars in one place most of the time that stuff is only on the west coast supper good time.

I saw Mr. Poteet run at Bonneville in 2010 but had no idea he had a
collection of this magnitude. Very nice to see, thank you. It's no wonder
he wants the McMullen Roadster in his stable.....

I was looking through some of my old threads to see if I had failed to respond to somebody and noticed that the thread views on this post were way up.

I think I found the reason why...There is a link on SPEEDDEMON.US to the pics.
