Only the first few RACE versions of the Cheetah were aluminum, rest (few as they are) were fiberglass.

Still here working away...............Finished the keeper panels on the rear deck area and now moving to the rear fender........again!
Decided to make a wood pattern so it can be moved side to side. I feel like a wood chuck. Ray

Wow thats looking nice! Do you find the aluminum easier to work with than cold rolled steel...once you got the hang of it? I have never worked with it...

I can build the same size panel in less pieces and it moves faster. Easier? I wish.............still learning but it's coming, Ray

More roughing in on the Right side. Making sure the doors open and close . Next i move to the front fender and nose. If i like what i see i will use it for patterns for the Left side and then do the Right side again for keeps.

Been doing more structure and stuff.........tired of making bowls!
I mocked up the Right door using the vette door structure. Now on the Left side i'm building the under structure for real. The door hinges needed blocked out 2 1/2" to make them work. Going from a coke bottle shape to slab sided.
The front fiberglass fire wall has been shaved of extra stuff and body mounts have been made. Designing what the window trim will look like and how many pieces. Ray

Love this project, too neat to watch. You are doing fabulous work for sure, please keep after it as I want to see it come along. Would really like to see the wheels moved up along with the wheel openings. Where's the photochop genius'?????

Thanks for taking the time to post this.

Man this car is looking cool. I try not to tell people my ideas of what I think their build needs to look good or right but can I just make one little suggestion? You need to either find or make some emblems that say "Henway" just to screw with peoples heads.

I am not a car designer/engineer, nor did I play one on TV. But, I was thinking the exact thing, you just beat me to it. The back end and the dash is looking awesome, but the nose/snout looks so much better just a little longer.

I also loved the mock-up of the cool little tail lights. The steering wheel looks great. Any ideas yet on what kind of wheels yet?

When finished, will it be painted or polished?

First, someone has the crazy, mad skills to build a bitchin' car body from scratch and then you do the cool thing with the picture adjusting back and forth with the mods/changes!!! I am flabber-gasted at both!!

    Merry Christmas!
Working at it again. The tail is coming along but the nose will be chopped off and re-mocked up.

I love the body & all the hard work.

I fear the windshield size, shape and slope will always have people thinking "rebodied 'vette" right away. Is there a way to make it more upright?
