I took a few days off of work to go to Disneyland with my wife for my birthday. I know that I always look for something that I would want to have, Most of the time I leave without buying anything. Well, this time was different. It isn't often that something that I just have to have is at Disneyland. But, I am a sucker for a WEESNER!

  9. Funny thing. I was just at disneyland the other day too.... ;)

I have the 4 foose pieces, but i still haven't bit the bullet on the 3 new pieces (including the one you just bought).

every time i go in the store i'm torn between the three so i leave empty handed.

I just couldn't pass this one up. Plus, it was my birthday. Max Grundy has a really cool painting also, but this one set me back enough. I ask for that one for Christmas, maybe. Jay

True, that. I hope you were there after dark, the neon lights on the buildings, and the way they lit the mountain side is worth waiting around for.

what store is this you guys are talking about? inside the park or outside in Downtown Disney?

  15. I hate to be the ignorant one, but.. what the heck is a Weesner?

    Skilled Hot Rod artist.

Character from exceptional Pixar film CARS.

  17. Thanks, now I won't feel left out.

  18. One of the HAMB members here, hotrod 49, did a bunch of the pinstriping and lettering in Cars Land, along with Dennis Rickleifs and Jeff Styles.

Disney was smart to have real "car guys" work on the project.

  19. its in cars land. its named 'ramones house of body art'. lots of cool stuff in there. you can score the artwork, the car club plaque ($80.00!) and even a real deal pendelton.

BTW if anyone goes, there are a bunch of custom painted hoods in the windows. each has a 'hidden mickey' painted into it.

We are going in January and can't wait to check out the new theme.
Nice score! I didn't know there was cool artwork to purchase, better start saving some more Disney cash.

Ramone is fashioned after a 1959 Chevy. The store this, and many other paintings are in is called Off the page. It's in the Hollywood area of the park across the street from Frankenweenie hotdogs.

The GF and I just got back from a Visit to DisneyLand and California Adventure yesterday with my daughter, SIL, and both grandsons. Cars Land is amazing, as is the entire California Adventure. Bought a print of Weesner's Ramone at Ramone's House of Body Art and it was only $40. Didn't see any Weesner originals, but did see several by Foose, but didn't get to Off the Page. If you like art deco/streamline moderne/car-related stuff, you gotta put this place on your bucket list. Even met another HAMB-er there.
