I got this at the swap meet and I want to use it on a early 60's period correct build but I am not sure that it is that old. Any info would help.
    Thanks,
    Jackson

Looks old to me! I'd say early to mid 60's it's an Offy nuf said!

  3. I know they had those Offys in the late 60's, not sure how early though.

When was the last time Offy added anything to the catalog?? I'd guess that except for a couple odd single 4 barrels for Chevy, virtually anything Offy was designe mid-60's or earlier!d

I would bet its at the earliest mid 60's

  6. Mid to lake '60s, early offys had 4 hole carb pads and small plenums.

Roll it around and look for numbers.

Here is an early '60s late '50s offy 2X4

Its got an oil fill tube..... That says something

  8. Edelbrock makes brand new intakes with an oil fill tube. GM was still using them in '69 I believe.

I don't know for sure, but I thought the 360 thing was later than early 60s.

It would get by most folks.

Yeah...just noticed that. It is from the last period of new Offy stuff like the one with primary and secondary levels. My guess is early '70's. I think the last few kicks from Offenhauser used the round type markings that one uses.

  12. Why, just take a grinder to the 360 and no one will be any the wiser.

The neat thing about this intake is that it's easier to find working carbs that fit it...the early ones usually are for the small base 4bbl carbs.

  14. Mine will actually hold a pair of 450 Holleys but there is no way in creation to get a distributer in there with them bolted on. I would like to find a pair of WCFBs or small AFBs for mine.

At this same time period those Jackson front-mount distributor conversions were popular...make the thing a complete period piece!

  16. Somebody actually had one of those in the class ads a uear or so back pretty cheap as I recall. I almost tried to buy it just so I could have a front mount dizzy on my small block.

  17. I just went out to the garage to look at mine for a possible trade but mine is exactly like yours.
