This is Malcom's roadster at Bonneville.

 

Custom 1951 Chevy Coupe owned by Al de la Torre from Scottsdale, AZ.

 

this shot is amazing? what kind of lens did you use?

 

I may have submitted this one last year, can't remember....

 

Don't know if it's high res, or even calendar worthy, but I always thought this was a cool under construction shot.

 

So much cool in this thread. It's humbling.

I love this picture. Such a great example of what real film brings to a photo.

 

I guess I'll throw some of mine in the pot here. I choose to shoot with film and old cameras much for the same reason we all love classic cars and hot rods. There is a lot more work that goes in to create something. It costs money and time. It take planning and forethought. And, to me anyway, it's just a lot more fun.

These were all made with 1953 Zeiss Ikoflex iia twin lens reflex camera on Kodak film at the 2011 Hot Rod Reunion. I will be back this year to shoot more with the same camera as well as a 1940's Graflex Crown Graphic 4x5 film camera. What can I say? I love this stuff.

Or I have another.......Most of my shit isn't done but what the hell....

 

I know the car, but don't remember the photo. After awhile, they all run together. There are hundreds of cars that "deserve" to be in the calendar, but unless a quality photo is submitted, it won't happen. I've said it every year... the most bitchin car on the planet doesn't stand a chance of getting into the calendar if the photo is sub par.
