Love all the low riders! Does anyone know the best place to get some pin strip white walls for some 14 inch Astros!?

^^^ You have a few choices:
    Cocker 5.20 crossplys.
Hankook, Uniroyal, Firestone, and if you are lucky Cornells at Pepboys. I kno they disontinued the 13s, but you might get lucky with the 175/70/14s.
Theres others but these are the nicest IMO.
Other than Cornells the ones with the most squared thread surface are the Firestone FR38.
Google is your friend, best deals are online. ebay helps too.

Dayton makes skinny whites as well but i seem to remember theyre expensive.

Mr. 58 Impala Andy, do you by any chance have another picture of the set up in the Corvair?

  13. Beautiful paint work throughout this thread. Got to admit the time and attention to detail on most of these car is outstanding. I have to say, my favorites are lowriders from the late 60's early 70's. Cragars and Astros withOUT the mini tires...

You posted them in the lowrider thread, where everyone else is posting pictures of lowriders, thats pretty much equivalent to saying you think they are....

Here you go Nick I finally found them! "Backyard Built" by Tony Anderson who even machined the blocks & various other components.

Wow, thanx. Those round blocks are awesome, and so are the matched stands.
Its funny how my dream car is a Corvair and that this set up is basically just like the one i would build for it... Your friend must be an awesome fella :D

Now, gotta get myself a lathe and step up my game...

Crazy Art painted in the 70s, and still around today, as the modern wires show;)
