This just proves that they're still out there, ready to be rediscovered.

    Nice find, and congratulations!

Yeah yeah yeah, that Caddys fantastic.

Any idea what they wanted for that red Suburban in the barn next to it??

It's a great feeling to be in the right place at the right time with the right amount of cash. I've had to beg, borrow, and steal to get some cars before when the opportunity knocked. Congrats and I am glad it's in your hands and not, as sarcastically mentioned, the fella that would flat black and fat rat it out.

    WOW! Nice Caddy!

FYI... the steering wheel looks to be a '62, '63 or '64, not a '61.

I just received a picture of it in the mail from the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City Michigan with the National Cherry Queen sitting in the car, I think the pic is from around 1978, the car's still wearing its US Royal tires, the grille isn't smacked in and the car's in much better shape. He also sent me an original GM microfische that might have a wealth of info on it, but I don't know how I can view it, I'll call my camera guy.

  18. Local library MAY still have a microfiche viewer

Seats look like the ones that were in my 61 Olds Starfire, maybe console too, couldn't see it that well. Definitely a factory show car that they probably sold or gave to someone. I was born in 61 ,so that is too cool. Kind of brings back memories of my 2742 original mile 52 Chevy 2 ton flatbed and my 1500.00 69 Charger 500 I've had the privilege to own.

  22. WOW Richard!! You beat a lot of us to it.............:) What an amazing find and a great story to come.....

  27. Amazing find. I have a 1953 Buick Skylark made in October of 1953 when only 12 were made that month. Could be the last one made. It has a wraparound windshield. I have no proof it was factory, but your find adds proof the factory did build styling studies. Great find.
Cadillac had much better record keeping than Buick.

Here's the back of the center console, it has a ratcheting gatefold type top on it.
