Traded for a 1934 Ford pickup

I know I am going to get hell and equal praise for what I have done...I will still sleep just fine!!!
I traded my 55 chevy project off for a 1934 Ford pickup. I have always wanted one of these trucks and I have had more 55 and 56 chevys than anybody my age should have ever been allowed! Best part is I will get to finish the metal work on the 55.

Truck is all Henry steel and super solid. Unfortunately the chassis was hacked up some time in the 70's with a corvair front end. Has a 50 era Olds rearend and an early camel hump head 327.

It does, and so does mine. I have a set of 33-34 rear fenders to put on mine someday.

I need a schooling...what is different about the model A rear fenders vrs 33 34?

 

Don't you worry yourself...Mine came with a hood. But, if you need a firewall, now we may be bidding against each other!!!

 

Everything. The main difference is A's swoop down close to the tire in the back. 32-34's swoop way out in the back, just like a 32 car. The bead is also different on the edge of the fenders. Someone went through a ton of trouble fabricating mine to work, and they look OK if you don't know, but I collected some originals (as well as some fronts without the spare tire well) that will someday go on mine.

 

Great trade, I'd say! I love those little pickups.

I must be lucky, because the 34 pu and 36 coupe fender fairy has landed. I could not have been that good or lucky!
Pictures to follow...just walking the negotiation tightrope at this time.
...Yes this will remain full fendered, unchopped and with full length original bed. I think leaving the truck mostly original will really highlight the NOS Boyd wheels I have set aside for this project.
