Question. The older we get, do we automatically like 4 dr sedans ? 40 years ago, I would guess that most of us would not have given this car garage space ( I know I wouldn't). Funny how our tastes change the older we get. NICE !
Neal, your tech threads are always a great read! You make it all look so simple, and you're so willing to share these little secrets that few others would! Great info and pictures, and bonus points for working with your son!
In a word - WOW! It goes to show what stance and a change of wheels/tires can do to a car. You nailed it!
Man, I couldn't picture a better stance for that car! Thanks for the tips man. Good call on the Tacoma Creme color for the wheels, too. Rad.
I really appreciate this info. I have a '32 5 window that I'll start one day. This info has taken a lot of guesswork out of it. So thanks. I kinda like the stock wheels and the red colour personally. I'd like to see that combo. How about swapping the original rims for me and take a few pics? LOL
I think it is because we appreciate being able to haul our buddies along Beautiful more-door btw-stance is killer!
What a beauty! Nice job all around. Sits just right. QUESTION: I always thought you had to due a front end alignment with the weight of the car on the front suspension - with the front suspension installed in the car. Am I incorrect?
You NAILED it!!!!! I agree on the mild headlight bar, but KEEP the cowl lights and make them into turn-signals.
What a great stance - really nice looking car you have there - great job. I wish my 35 year old son was into this half as much as your 13 year old!
For sure with anything other than a straight axle, but I was just setting the "toe". I approximated the caster by blocking the back of the wishbone at ride height. Nothing else will change once in the car... Neal
That last is going to cause brain siezures amongst those used to thinking about Mustang II's!! Serves'em right!
I am not positive about the late model stuff like a 1940...but I know 28-36 axles are same front to back. I think the 37-41 and 42-48 axles are the same as well...
