  1. from austin to sequin is a 41 mile stretch scheduled to open in november. this will be the nations fastest stretch of highway with the speeds being equal to category 1 hurricane winds.

  2. Test and tune highway :D

I was in Utah and they had 85 too.
I was towing a trailer so it wasnt in my playbook.
    85 means 92, given the "Gentlemen's 5 to 7".

I don't know about there but here in NY , 15 over the limit would be considered reckless driving so maybe you can push it to 97-98 ??? LOL

Yep, I30 is already 80MPH. Last time I drove it, I had the old Plymouth in overdrive and let 'er fly....I knew increasing the Hemi to 526 cubes would come in handy someday...

It ends up on IH.10 east of Seguin

  12. Yes, but I think you can still use it to bypass Austin on the way to SA.

Who here actually drives the posted speed limit anyways? ;)

I did some high speed runs up and down the freeway in my Model A roadster last night to make sure I got the shimmy out of the front end... :)

I-10 in West Texas is 80 already, and it's free.
Just past Kerrville almost all the way to El Paso.
I ain't paying more than I already am to drive on a dang road.

  16. I got on about a month ago from Buda to Manor,26 miles cost me $9.50!Also got a bill 2 wks later for $3.oo for getting on,no signs telling you may have to pay additional. They can put that road where the sun dont shine. I"ll stay on the back roads better scenery.

I wonder if the Highway Patrol will still cut you about 10 MPH over?

Can't wait to see the carnage.

Our good guvner has been pushing these toll roads run by a foreign country with a no compete clause that prevents the existing roads from upgrades. Just gotta love paying taxes for roads then paying tolls to drive on 'em.:(

Utah's highest is 80 and we have quite a bit of it. Cracks me up though... For some reason everyone thinks 75 means 90, but when they hit the 80 zone everyone slows down to 80.

Who knows - maybe someday we'll be back to the way it was in Nevada in the 60's and 70's, NO speed limit, (except in town), oh, and free!

  23. Hell, here is So Cal, the freeways are either stop and go or 85 every day!

  24. No traffic there, yet, maybe a good escape route for the drug dealers? I did drive by there other day on FM 20 from Seguin to Lockhart, not much of anything going over 1 MPH. I never drive tollways, not giving my $$ to the Italians and foreign sovereign funders.

Yeah, just in time for the F1 race and all the Europeans who will be in town. It'll give 'em somewhere to go play with their expensive high-end rental cars...

I hate toll roads, unamerican to me. I cuss Kansas every time I go through. While in Iowa this summer our small town paper showed many tickets issued for 5 over. I usually do 7. Thought tickets were issued for public safety not profit......

  30. Kids in school near you must look like a real life version of Frogger in their school zone.
