Do a search for "45 years ago today".Should bring you to a thread I posted a few months ago on the S/S-F/X show at So Glens Falls,Oct 3,1965.Posted a bunch of pics.

 

Can anyone give me the actual address for South glens Falls dragstrip I'm going up to the adrondack nationals in Lake George September 7 to the 10 and I'd like to find it and get pictures of my car in front of it or at least what's left of it if it's possible. Thanks

 

Post #43 has the Google map link. That should help.

 

Take exit 17N off the Northway(RT 87).
Put you Rt 9 north,go 1 mile and on left will be a Suzuki dealership and cluster of buildings.Track is directly behind.
Not much left to see,the track ran directly away from Rt 9 due west.
Overgrown,but you can pull between the dealership bldg. and a smaller one to the right of it and you can see the dirt outline of the track.

Here's a couple pix of my Nomad last Jan 1 in that spot.

 

I saw the Google map and now I know exactly where it's at and buy it 20 times or so and never realized that was it. Thanks

Well maybe next year they're calling for a lot of rain the whole weekend in Lake George so I'm not going I have a good cruise nite to go to here and the pig roast. I'll save about $350 fuel to. But I will mess cruising around in Lake George

 

Just got back from the Lake.Things were hopping pretty good.Lots of cars and folks.Constant cruising,open pipes,very few cops,lots of spectators on side of road up by the bowling alley and campgrounds.Must have been 8-10 deep.The usual abundance of rubber applied to the road.
Sounds like rain Saturday into the night.Friday is gonna be nice.

I have one old picture of my 64 falcon sprint that I raced back in 68, it's faded but it's a pic. I won my class 3 times,I had the trophies up till 3 years ago then moved and got rid of them.I guess I should of kept them. I lived in Watervliet when I had the Falcon, a few of use from there went up many Sundays to race. They were the good old days.
I have had many cars and trucks sence then ,now I have a 57 chevy pickup 3100 that I just finished.
