  1. Thanks biggeorge!
I don't know why my search
    couldn't find them.

Great thread, don't know how I missed it before. What size spare tyres are folks getting to fit in the sidemount fender? My '32 truck had a 5.50-18 in there when I got it, but now it has 16" wheels I'm damned if I can squeeze a 5.50-16 on a 4" rim in there. This looks like it might be a 4.50-16?

Here's the truck after I narrowed the bed....subtle change but I think proportions are better.Still would like to put either 32 or Model A bed on it...shortened some.

Bought some 58 Chev Bel-aire taillights, but need to get them re-chromed before installing

This one belongs to a pal of mine, his brother bought it in 1952 ! The seat was done in the 50's.

In this picture the spare is a 4.50, but I was also able to fit a 5.50 in the fender well.

Looks much better with new deck. Before it looked like someone had dropped a slab of ply on and added sides with no thought to stand back and check it out.

Question, are 32 pickup cowl vents different to 34 P up. And 32 car?? We have a 32 P up with a mint cowl vent door but no mechanism, the lower vertical part of vent is not 90 degrees to vent as it is on our 3W or our previous 34 P UP. We lack the lever and pivot, will a car one fit???

Thanks. I don't really want to be cutting and widening the well in the fender but it is looking that way. I wonder if the '34 fenders have a wider slot than '32s?

That wouldn't surprise me; the wheels were a different diameter, and the stock tire sections probably differed too.

  13. Here is the '33 I just dragged home.
On the back burner while I gather parts up.
    Happy to finally get one!

I'm about 13 months into this 32 project, and there are a few issues left to be resolved, but she is running and sounds great.

Still moving along, just went to the local glass guy and retrieved my windshield frame, back glass frame, and side glass channels. He had this stuff since mid July, and told me several times he was almost done. Why keep somebody hanging like that? Drove it all down to Service Glass in Pontiac after several recomendations. These guys really seem to have their act together, said a week or so, would be great. Took a couple more pics, need to go for a ride.
