Roof looks smooth as a baby's butt; nice radius on trunk corners too.

Depends if you want to mess with carbs. The 409 would have more appeal on this forum. Especially if you are going with a 60's vibe with your merc. Don't build it for the guys on here. If you like fuel injection and all the positives, than keep your hood shut and don't tell anyone whats really in there. Its your sled, and you have made good decisions so far.

  11. I think it would depend on wether you plan on showing off your motor. If you don't plan on opening the hood at shows, etc, then run whatever moves you. I find older motors much more appealing.

Finally got some time to get back to work on the sled today. Fixed the inner quarter and got the outer quarter panel on the drivers side all tacked in!

Looking great! I'm having some motivation issues due to trying to fix the previous you know what ups. I'm building MY Merc MY way and cussing along as I go. If you want LS1 you use. Remember what they say about opinions and a**holes. Xxxx

  21. Looks good.

I don't care what's under the hood as long as it gets you there and back. Last time I showed my car at a show I never popped the hood that's not the point of a custom IMO.
