I might be there on the Monday (sept 10), which begs the question- how much is going on at WoS on a Monday?
the roadster with the Morton & Brett 26 Dodge Bros. engine should be there. I personally will not. So if you see a couple of lost looking guys with a 104 roadster. Stop and give them a hand.
between everything about that engine it just wants to start but can't. I believe the spark plug location and giant popup on the piston puts out the fire at cranking speed. Pushing the car and bring able to run more initial advance should work. The Packard never much wanted to start on the starter either. And my Pinto was the same way. But they all ran when they saw the salt. I had to make a new water pump mount and convert it from the Super Connie water pump to a Teal bilge pump. Everything goes wrong with this thing. Right now i just want it out of here.
The sidecar ran fantastic at SpeedWeek and I'd love to be at WoS. But, as usual, SpeedWeek has left me penniless.
I was there. Last time I had that much fun I was butt naked.(the rest I will leave out) If you have never been...... GO.
Amazing, even on a Monday. The rainstorm sucked for the racers but it sure made for some nice photos for me.
