I posted a rotting '63 merc Pickup in "Sitting and Rotting" I checked the niumbers, It is a 4speed "P" code engine which I think is a Police 390 engine.

Is this worth $350? It's an F350 last ran 5 years ago, off the rd since 1992

I'd think it was well worth 350 In US or your dollars. Scrubbed up and running and driving it will make someone a pretty good work truck that can tow something. for enough extra cash in the kitty to push one of your projects ahead a bit.

I don't think you can go wrong at that price. Plus old trucks are cool!

I seriously doubt it has a 390 Police engine from the factory. I believe they didn't start putting the FE series motors in those trucks until 1965 and then only 352s. That was when they changed the front suspension to the Twin I beam and had a totally different crossmember to mount the motors. No 390s were factory installed until 1967 or 1968. 1965s also had the newer style bed that matched the cab design. If it's a V8, it should be a 292 Y block.

But still a Mercury truck is cool - in the U.S. anyway...

  8. It's worth $350 over the scale at the scrapyard. People kill me sometimes.
