I had driven by this pick up in someone's back yard for about the last month on the way to work. Tuesday I saw the gate was open and stop to ask about it. Well, I looked at it, saw the potential, and bought it. Here are a few of the things that were of interest, and pushed me to purchase.

The truck has damage to the cab, but I noticed the slicks on the front, and the 4-Banger had a few Hop-up parts.

    Dual Master cylinders.

    An Evans intake.

    An Ansen aluminum valve cover.

    An exhaust cut out/muffler by-pass.

There is an aluminum trans adapter and hydralic clutch on a 39 trans. The slave cylinder has Wagner-Lockheed in the casting (which I'm guessing is an aviation part).

    Possibly, a Miller ohv conversion!

    A 32 dash.

    Juice brakes.

And to top it all off, it's an original California truck. The logo on the side of the cowl reads " City of Glendale California Parks Department.

I'm not sure if anyone from Southern California has any information on the history of this truck, or if anyone knows what brand ohv conversion it has, but I'm excited to get this truck back in shape and running. Thanks for looking. Jay

So cool! I'd love to find an overhead converted engine sitting around like that. I can't wait to hear about its condition.

Wagner-Lockhead is not aircraft ,normal automotive parts brand usually know by just Wagner.

Now thats some nice give it a wash and a shine. Maybe a few carbs and getter a goin!

  22. I hope that motor is dry inside. Those overhead valve conversion heads are nothing but trouble. I am well acquainted with an impoverished old hot rodder that is looking for one to piddle with. When you are fed up with yours let me know and I will see if I can broker a deal.
